The primary number two is
èr 二 two
and for counting things (including the time) Mandarin speakers say:
liǎng = 两 = two
So there are two “twos”~!
For example:
liǎng diǎn = 两点 = two o’clock
liǎng gè rén = 两个人 = two people
An exception is with “two hundred”, where either form is ok:
liǎng bǎi = 两百 = two hundred
èr bǎi = 二百 = two hundred
See here for more info on “Hundreds“
